Practicum in Film Production: Digital Color Correction & Color Grading - 23757 - FST 398 - 001

Prerequisite or Corequisite: FST 201

This course will demystify the art of color correction and color grading used by postproduction professionals. Subjects taught and applied in this course include file types, compression, contrast, saturation, hue, scopes, look up tables, bit depth, and color space. Students will gain an applied understanding of Premiere Pro’s Lumetri Color and be introduced to working in DaVinci Resolve’s Color Page.

Practicum in Film Production: Topics in Expanded Cinema - 23758 - FST 398 - 002

All students are expected to attend and participate in person at the assigned day/time. (F2F)

Prerequisite or Corequisite: FST 201

This course will emphasize film outside of a one-screen, theater-based context. Topics include video art, multi-screen work, performance, and experimental film. Class work is split between research and practice, with students taking an active role in the modes that apply to their interests.
